Baroque Necklace

These necklaces are from a pattern on Bead-Patterns.com by Charlene Hughes. The silver one on top is the full motif in the pattern. The mauve necklace on the bottom is simplified. This is a right angle weave technique. A free pattern for the technique by Kathy Rice is available on the Fire Mountain Gems Website. This is a great way to use the 4mm square beads.

Why Beading?

I have just retired from my day job as a senior administrator for a school board, and now have more time revisiting all the hobbies I have loved but not had as much time for over the years.
I love to play with the beads, and however much I organize my stash, I can mess it up in a few minutes when I am trying to work out a pattern. I continue to be amazed by the amount of bead information on the internet. There are so many patterns and general information. Inspiration from other artists is all over the world, and the world is your oyster on the internet. I am not really sure why, but I am addicted to finding out new techniques and patterns. I hope this blog will share some of my inspirations.
